Charter Council

Charter Council

Blue Oak Charter School is governed by a seven-member Charter Council with three parent representatives and four community members, chosen in accordance with the bylaws of Blue Oak Charter School.  Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM.

The Blue Oak Charter Council (BOCC) is the entity which is held accountable for the operations of the school. It is the responsibility of the Charter Council to develop policies and put them in writing, so they serve as guidelines and goals for the successful and efficient functioning of the school.

All Charter Council applications must be submitted to the Executive Assistant no later than Friday, May 21st. Polls will open May 26th and close May 28th; votes will be collected electronically. The Charter Council members are elected for a term of three years.  For further detail, please review the Charter Council Bylaws found under the Documents section below.
