Charter Council

Charter Council

Blue Oak Charter School is governed by a seven-member Charter Council with three parent representatives and four community members, chosen in accordance with the bylaws of Blue Oak Charter School.  Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM.

The Blue Oak Charter Council (BOCC) is the entity which is held accountable for the operations of the school. It is the responsibility of the Charter Council to develop policies and put them in writing, so they serve as guidelines and goals for the successful and efficient functioning of the school.

Election Process

There is now a vacant parent seat on the BOCC available. All parents are invited to apply!

As this is an interim position to finish out the remaining term for a previously elected Council member, your seat as a voting member will begin at the meeting following your election and end in August. You will have the chance to reapply for the seat you are filling to serve another full term come August if you so choose.

The Charter Council members will vote at the next BOCC meeting following the submission of your application. If you are interested in applying for the position, please see the attached application. A completed application and attachments will need to be submitted to the Executive Assistant, Alex Archer.
