A workshop with Helen Lubin, MA*
The vitality of the spoken word can form, confirm and free the growing human being. The light, warmth, spark and meaning that can live in this uniquely human capacity contributes to sustaining us in our humanness
During this evening of presentation, practice and conversation, we will explore our way towards an understanding of how speech makes a crucial contribution to the healthy development of the growing human being and is an integral part of Waldorf education.

*Speech artist/educator Helen Lubin has taught at Rudolf Steiner College for 24 years. She has also created the project Speech and Drama in Waldorf Schools in North America (now in its 22nd year), an initiative dedicated to cultivating the speech component integral to Waldorf education. This takes place through school visits of one to several weeks annually to North America Waldorf schools, providing professional development for teachers, work with classes, individual students, and parent lectures/workshops. Helen also works with children and adults in private practice; teaches in various Waldorf teacher education programs; background in curative education; freelance editor and translator.
